If I were a tree I could make the sky my roof and be a home for many guests, see the world without moving and grow without fussing. If I were branches and roots I would know how to unite heaven and earth in me, probe the infinite and find so much without seeking anything: the flower of my fruits, the wind on my fronds, the rain and the sun that pass through me.

I love the white between the lines like the thickness of the material, working the sentences and my woods with the same care, equally enjoying being able to shape its shape, to feel its weight and enchantment on my fingers. I love wood because it was my father who explained to me how noble this material is and how widespread his intelligence is; I work on it remembering that he taught me the importance of seeing what you look at, the pleasure of understanding what is underneath.

I look for wonder in the hidden beauty that I have before my eyes and digging to look where I can’t see. I polish the piece until the reflection and attention travel through it without stumbling, until the most minute details and true color emerge from the opacity. Until it blossoms, in the embrace of curiosity and amazement, the smile of knowledge.

luca zosi

My name is Luca Sebastian Zosi.
Sebastian comes from my father’s love for Johann Sebastian Bach, a great love that later became mine too.
To old friends they are simply Zao. We were watching a cross-country skiing race, at a certain point the reporter said that there were no traces of Zao, one of the competitors. At the end of the race it was still unknown where he was.

In high school I studied ancient Greek and Latin and have always been passionate about the humanities.
At university I studied philosophy, oriental religions and comparative literature.
Then life took me here and there. Now the branches and roots of knowledge I also look for in plants.

I dedicate this site to my family and friends: I owe the best of me to them.

___

All’università ho studiato filosofia, religioni orientali e letterature comparate.
